Tuk Tuk Azores

Tuk Tuk Azores is born out of the need to complement the Azorean touristic animation supply. In order to meet the demands of the tourists nowadays, who searches for customized alternatives, this project makes a difference out of its ability to meet any demand presented by the tourists who visit the archipelago, and, at the same time, assures an ecofriendly philosophy, since all the tuk tuk’s are 100% electric.
Taking advantage of a good inter-islands transport network, this project will not be based on one island only. Therefore, the Tuk Tuk’s will be able to participate in all of the main events occurring in each of the 9 Azorean islands.

VEHICLES

Tuk Tuk Azores has its Electric tricycles with a maximum capacity for 6 people, inspired by motor vehicles of the South and Southeast Asia.
It is a means of transport widely used for tours in many European cities and Ponta Delgada is one of them!
It’s a funny and safe way to meet the cultural and natural heritage of a region and / or city.

Walk up, took the tour. Great way to spend an afternoon!
Family of 4 with two 7-yr olds, walked up and asked about the tour. We went to the city, beaches, and gardens. It was amazing, and our driver, Antonio, seemed to know everyone in the city!! It was a great way to see the city when we were only there for one afternoon/evening.

Fantastic little tour
Went on this tuk tuk tour when we were in ponta delgada for the day (we came on one of the cruise ships) and throughly enjoyed it. It was something a bit different and interesting to do. Seeing as we have been to this port before. Our tour guide was lovely and took us to see lots of interesting places. We did the city, pineapple plantation and botanical gardens tour. We really enjoyed it. The pineapple plantation was very interesting and fun. Would highly recommend this tuk tuk tour.

Great Tour around the 'Old' city centre of Punto Delgado
Great ride and trip in a electric Tuk Tuk with guide Senor Eduardo Consado,who is very knowledgeable as a guide informing well on the history of the city of Punto Delgada, let alone the Island of Sao Miguel.

Brilliant way to get around Ponta Delgada
On a whim we decided to go on a Tuk Tuk tour of Ponta Delgada. There are several tour options available but I got the impression that if none of the ready made tours suited, one could be made up to suit the passengers. There are even tours available further afield, which do need to be prebooked, however. Our guide Antonio was fantastic and an absolute gent. He was very knowledgeable and happily answered every question we threw at him. He even took a detour to show us a lovely church where we had the opportunity to climb up into the bell tower. At the end of the tour we asked him for the best place to sample Lapas - he wasn't sure but would find out and call us as soon as he had found out. In the end he tracked us down in the old town to tell us. That's dedication!!!
